SEO And Articles

The name of the game is to attract people to your website.  Any discussion of how to attract readers using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques  has to lead with article submission.  This is because in the short history of SEO this has been the most successful.  Typically and article is about your business or the features of your website and then about getting the article added to the key directories so that others will be able to find them and be directed to your site.   A well done article will improve your ranking in the search engines and establish you as a trusted expert in the field that will encourage potential buyers to visit your website.

People visit websites because they want to learn something or they are searching for a product.  They return to the websites or they purchase the products because the information they found there was original and was what they were looking for.  Plagiarism is easy to spot and degrades an article.  Once again,  people want to read original work not a quick cut and paste with a few words rearranged.  A well researched article with current information will draw the reader back to the website and in many cases to other articles written by the same author.

Keywords are what causes the SEO to bring people to your site.  How you use them is what keeps them coming back on their own.  By the nature there have to be enough of them to cause the search engines to key on them.  In order to make this happen somewhere between one and five percent of the words in your article should be the keywords.  They also have to be used so that the material flows and does not appear to be stuffed with them.  Use the key words,  but use them in a way that makes sense to the reader and supports the point you are making in the article.

With SEO,  the search engine does not care how your article looks.  It is just going to find your key words and rank your article accordingly.  When actual people call up you article they want to be greeted with something that is aesthetically pleasing to their eyes.  Open space is as important as words.  Bold letters for key words and headings draw the eye as well as the search engine to them.  Bullets break up the black space and make it easy for the eye to follow your points.  The SEO brings the reader to your site,  your originality,  information, and format keeps them there.
